What is Primary Care?
- Primary care is a term used for the activity of a healthcare provider who acts as a first point of consultation for all patients. Generally, primary care practitioners are based in the community, as opposed to a hospital. When you visit your general medical practitioner (GP) you are attending a primary care clinic.
- Primary Care Psychology is a clinical psychology service focused on assisting GPs and medical specialists to provide better outcomes in mental health to community patients. Our psychologists provide assessment and therapy services to a variety of medical clinics throughout Melbourne and (soon!) rural Victoria.
